Director of Engineering, Kavitha Kamal, recognized as Top Woman Leader of 2024

The Engineered Innovation Group is excited to announce that our Director of Engineering, Kavitha Kamal, was recognized as a Top Woman Leader of 2024. Kavitha is a dynamic leader with a proven track record of growing teams and leading change while building and deploying leading-edge software products and solutions. She empowers individuals, teams, and organizations to realize peak performance and profitable growth through the thoughtful integration of her engineering expertise, empathetic leadership style, teaching experience, and passion for products.

Kavitha’s span of impact includes onboarding EIG’s first offshore engineering partner and leading a large onshore team of engineers. During her tenure to date, she has helped implement the company’s first Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC), provided technical leadership and oversight of complex, client-facing enterprise projects, and mentored the organization at large in software best practices and business acumen. Kavitha was a Senior Software Engineer at Glew.io before joining EIG.

Kavitha’s passion for learning and equipping the next generation of talent resulted from her successful tenure at Kenzie Academy and Southern New Hampshire University. Leading in a learning world as a Director of Technology, Software Engineering Manager, and Associate Instructor provided a wealth of insights into maximizing human potential and making the complex simple. She also acted as a coach to students and faculty, curated curriculum, and provided 1:1 assistance to struggling students.

She commenced her career as a Senior Software Engineer at Honeywell, where she worked as a Module Lead advancing projects through the full application lifecycle (design, development, testing, deployment, and client interaction). She also served as a mentor to incoming junior developers.
